Michele Skinner Design Team Member My name is Michele Skinner and I am a scrapaholic. I live in Minneapolis with my husband, Marc, and our preschooler son, Henry. When my son was born in February 2000, I was frustrated by the lack of baby books made for non-traditional families, or made in more contemporary styles than Winnie the Pooh and Sesame Street. I decided the only way to get the exact kind of baby book I envisioned for Henry was to make my own. Some co-workers were into scrapbooking and bought me a few supplies when Henry was born, but it wasn’t until a year later that I stepped inside a scrapbook store and fell in love with all the colors and papers and options and began scrapping. I started slowly and painfully, as any seasoned scrapbooker does. But over the years I have found my groove and style. As a writer, I’ve always loved that scrapbooking is a means to the telling of family stories and personal dreams and observations. I find constant inspiration among the works of fellow scrappers and joy in helping others begin to grow in this fabulous craft. I look forward to being a member of the Design Team, and hope to learn from others even more than I can possibly teach. username: michele
