To my beautiful daughter.....my best friend in the whole world:
This photo was taken in the late winter of 1981, and I am creating this page for you at about the same time of year, but it is now the year 2005. Now, 24 years after this picture was taken, you are a grown woman, in your second year of medical school. I am so proud of you, and I love you beyond words. When you were the little girl in this photo, you were the most wonderful, bright, beautiful, energetic and loveable little girl....wow, nothing has changed! You loved to play outdoors, and you especially loved going for walks....and you still do! All of your life, you loved being home, and as you grew up, graduated from high school, went on to college, then, lived on your own for two years while working in Boston, and now, working hard in medical school to achieve your lifelong dream of becoming a doctor, you seem to be happiest when you come home. These pictures reminds me of what is important to you, and thatÂ’s coming home.......to the place that you belong. We built this house in the woods in the small town of Fitzwilliam just after you were born, because we knew it would be a safe place to raise you. I hope that when you are finally living your dream, have a husband, your own home and family, six cats, two dogs and a few goldfish to take care of, I hope you will always come home, because this is where you will always belong. With all my heart and all my love......... for ever and ever......Mom
