For this weeks challenge I did a LO on my mother, as she is the person who has influenced my life the most. I have included the following elements:
1. I picked a sink mat, wire and nail polish as items from my house that are NOT a normal scrapbook supply.
2. My journaling contains 301 words.
3. The basis of my LO is the shirts in my closet. I hang them so I can see all the sleeves, and then better chose by color, hence the tilted matting.
I have used the following products on my LO:
Sink Mat: in Black from Bed, Bath and Beyond.
Wire: from Sav·on Drugstore.
Nail Polish: Anna Suis Nail Color in 003. MY MOMS FAVORITE.
Cardstock: Bazzill Basics in Petalsoft, Romance, and Petunia.
Patterned Paper: Karen Foster Designs in Groovy Green Stripe.
Stencil: Making Memories
Paint: Making Memories in Hibiscus from the Tropical pack and Manilla from the
Flowers: (made from fabric) Wal-Mart, and The Natural Paper Companys Mulberry Paper Dogwood Flowers in Magenta.
Brads: Making Memories Pewter flower and round Decorative brads in pewter.

Quote plate: Making Memories Details in Mothers.
The journaling is in the mini book, and reads as follows:
The person who has had the biggest influence in my life is without a doubt my mother.
I have learned a lot from reading books, magazines, newspapers; watching TV and movies, as well as real life, -but the most important things I have learned from my mother.
I have learned about:
Being spiritual: I like my mothers way of being Christian. Her belief is very personal to her; she doesnt try to convince other people that her way of seeing the world is the right way. I am very happy, that she has passed on this non-judgmental attitude to me. It helps me a lot in everyday life.
My career choice: My mother always supported me in my decisions whenever I tried on a new profession, but when I told her a wanted to study nutrition, she said
that is SO right for you
..-and as so often before, -she was right.
Financial strategies: Dont spend money you dont have.
We had very little money, but even as a single mom of two daughters, she still managed to buy a house and keep us well clothed and fed.
How to deal with problems: She has an ability to change problems into advantages.
When I have a problem or a question I can always go to her for guidance and she will help me find my way
.
Deal with people:
You cant help people, unless they want to be helped. It must come from within.
-And when I was 5 and didnt know any better, on why she hadnt tried to get my father back If he doesnt want to be here, I dont want him here.
She has left some of herself an indelible print in my heart and my soul.
Thank you Mom!
I love you
